Eye Care Services

Behavioural Optometry, Ortho-K Contact Lenses and more.

In addition to routine eye tests, the team at Vedelago Optometrists also provide advanced eye care services to the local community of Browns Plains.

Behavioural Optometry

Taking a holistic view of visual performance, Behavioural optometry concentrates on behavioural development, rehabilitation and prevention of vision impairment.  This approach facilitates the diagnosis and management of perceptual and functional vision disorders in both adults and children.  A variety of treatment methods are available, such as stress-relieving lenses, vision therapy, developmental lenses, yoked prisms and depending on your needs, Vedelago Optometrists may also provide advice on visual hygiene.

Paediatric Eye Care

Vedelago Optometrists have a special passion for treating visual problems in children.  Conditions such as lazy eye (amblyopia), turned eyes and paediatric eye disease are best detected at a very early age.  Vedelago Optometrists offer children with vision-related learning difficulties tailored vision therapy programs and Visual Information Processing assessments to help each and every child reach their full potential.  Further assessment can be recommended where necessary, by other allied health professionals such as speech and occupational therapists, depending on the needs of the child. Download a Children’s Vision brochure to learn more about the signs to look out for.

Orthokeratology

No longer want to wear contact lenses during the day?  Vedelago Optometrists can offer you a simple, non-surgical solution that allows you to improve your vision, by temporarily reshaping your eyes’ surface while you sleep. The corneal reshaping contact lenses also known as Ortho-k contact lenses are both safe and non-invasive, and can correct refractive errors in your eyes.

Optometric Vision Therapy

Vedelago Optometrists can provide you with home-based, computerised or in-office vision therapy programs to suit your lifestyle needs.  The team also offer Syntonics (coloured light therapy) and Eyelights for particular vision disorders.  We provide optometric vision therapy for:

At Vedelago Optometrists, we understand that glasses can be a stylish accessory of necessity and depending on your lifestyle, can get in the way of life at times.
